Ardingly’s Multi-Sport Courts are a fantastic community space for tennis, basketball and 5-a-side football, located just below the playground on the Recreation Ground.
Whether you’re looking for a casual game or regular practice, the courts are open to all – families, children, and sports enthusiasts.

We are excited to share the good news that we now have an online booking system for Ardingly Multi-Sport Courts, so you can book your tennis, basketball, or 5-a-side football court quickly and easily.
The courts are available to hire for pay and play by members of the public and non-members who wish to book a court and enjoy playing with friends and family.

Ardingly Tennis Club
Regular users may wish to join Ardingly Tennis Club, where members pay an annual membership fee that covers all bookings. Members can also book courts up to a month in advance.

If you wish to arrange a lesson or have permitted use of the courts, please contact the Parish Clerk on 01444 220 499.
Usage Rules
Courts are available for use by all members of the community. Please ensure they are left in a state ready for others to enjoy them, and keep our village clean by disposing of rubbish and chewing gum at home or in a nearby bin. Please also respect both neighbours and court users by not making excessive noise or causing distractions.
To report any maintenance issues, please contact the Parish Clerk.
In case of emergency, the nearest defibrillator is at the Pavilion.
Expressly Prohibited
- NO Bicycles, scooters, roller blades, skateboards, pushchairs or other wheeled objects/devices. They must remain outside and not on the court surface.
- ALL users must use soft soled shoes to protect the surface. Studs and spikes are expressly prohibited.
- NO dogs allowed (with the exception of guide dogs).
- NO GLASS
Booking Conditions
- Booking is mandatory via the online booking system
- Only tennis, basketball, badminton or ‘5-a-side’ football are permitted.
- Children under the age of 10 must be accompanied by an adult.
- Football bookings must book both courts.
- Look after your possessions. Ardingly Parish Council accepts no responsibility for items lost, stolen or damaged on the premises.
- Players play at their own risk. To the extent permitted by law, Ardingly Parish Council will not accept responsibility for any injuries incurred during play at the Ardingly Parish Council multi-use courts in any weather/ground conditions. Court usage in poor weather conditions is at the individual’s personal risk.
- Damage is chargeable to the offender(s).
Court Configuration
- By default the courts are set up for tennis.
- Please be careful with the nets and other equipment. Users are responsible for setting up the courts as they need, and courts must be returned ready for tennis before the session ends.

Nearest defibrillator can be found on the pavilion porch, net to the door.
In case of an emergency (e.g. sudden collapse) call 999 immediately and the operator will give you the code to access the defibrillator cabinet and guide you through it’s use.
